123host Privacy Policy

The 123host privacy policy is relatively simple:

We collect information entered by you or updated by 123host in order to provide you with various services.

The information collected will only ever be used in relation to 123host.com.au business and will never be provided to a 3rd party except when authorised by you (e.g. to a developer) or when required to enable a service e.g. registration of a domain name requires us to provide your contact details to the domain registrar.  We will also provide your details to a government agency on production of appropriate legal documentation authorising collection of any data.

You are able to limit the public availability of your information on some domain extensions e.g. .com by purchasing optional domain ID protection

123host does not collect credit card numbers.  By logging into the client area, almost all the information we have about you is visible in your account.  We may have additional information as notes attached to your account or support tickets.  You are welcome to see all and any data 123host has collected that is related to your account.  We believe in 100% transparency.  

As a web hosting company the 123host servers store data on behalf of our customers. That data may include information about their clients or other individuals.  Data from all websites on 123host servers are also stored on an external backup server. 123host is not responsible for the collection or handling of this data except in the context of being the data storage provider.  However 123host regards such data as confidential and it will never be knowingly disclosed to a 3rd party except upon your authority (e.g. to a developer) or to a government agency on production of appropriate legal documentation authorising collection of any data.

The 123host servers are located in the United Kingdom and may come under local jurisdiction.  The 123host backup server is located in the United States of America and may come under local jurisdiction.
